RELEX, Blue Yonder, and the Incumbent Problem

Enterprise retail platforms cost millions and take years to implement. The market is ready for something different.

The enterprise retail analytics market is dominated by a few large players: RELEX Solutions, Blue Yonder, Oracle Retail, SAS. They're powerful, comprehensive, and extraordinarily expensive.

A RELEX implementation for a mid-size retailer starts at $500K annually and takes 6-18 months to deploy. The total cost of ownership over 3 years easily exceeds $2M.

The Gap in the Market

These platforms serve the top 500 retailers well. But there are 50,000+ mid-market retailers ($10M-$500M revenue) who need the same capabilities but can't justify the investment. They're stuck with Excel and gut feeling.

A Different Model

What if you could get 80% of RELEX's analytical capability at 5% of the cost, deployed in a day instead of a year? That's the opportunity for AI-native retail tools.

The key insight: LLMs can replace much of the customization that makes enterprise deployments expensive. Instead of configuring rules for 6 months, you describe what you want in English and the agent figures out the implementation.
